If all you ever wanted
was to feel like you know something,
that you have something to hold,
something to hold you,
sit into the fire of yourself
and receive.
Life is a river and you, a boulder.
As water surrounds you,
watch the sacred shapes
that form in the eddies,
ever reforming
always more coming
and going.
Longing and fulfillment
are not sisters,
not lion and lamb,
not parasite and host.
They are both water,
sometimes mist,
sometimes ocean,
sometimes river,
sometimes rain,
always moving,
always still.
Be still
as the center of the center,
as everything moving,
and receive.
